Day three - Registration and shopping

Hello friends of the sun - sun hahaha, here is no sun but the thermometer has no problem reaching close to 30°C anyway. Today I went through the registration process which is just a lot of paper wich goes from one desk to another. I needed the physical examination record, the insurance, my invitation and actually also a certificate of domestic registration (pink letter) which I don't have. I don't know how we will proceed on that but maybe it's just no problem without because my Visa is just valid for 120 days. What also can be problematic is that the stupid guy in Hamburg at the visa application kept my "JW202" ... fortunately I made a copy...
After the registration I got my first canteen meal. Jane ordered for me and it was absolutely eatable although hers was much better - i ll have it next time ;-) As one can see from the picture of the day we went shopping afterwards - going with the bus for one yuan to a huge mall. In general all normal stuff - except the meat etc. They offer a lots of lever and parts from animals I wouldn't think of eating it. Also the turtles where for eating - yummy! I am still searching for the dogs, but didn't find them today.
Traffic is kind of different -the drivers are honking all the time and on my way from the airport to Renmin I saw at least four little accidents. That this requires a special behavior especially for pedestrians is clear. One shouldn't dare to go outside with headphones on. At the Supermarket I bought two (low quality - but cheap) towels, some moon cakes - a traditional cake which is eaten around moonday which is in a couple of days and kiwi juice. At the cash point one is ask not to use plastic bags - a tribute to the environmental policy.
Today I also uploaded the first pictures of my "hotel" (have a look at the picase web album) , which is subject to change in the next days... we' ll figure out tomorrow. Good news anyway: I got my timetable and I can probable manage to get Monday and Friday off if I want so (maybe its boring?) - the hard work last semester pays back ;-)
Vi ses in China :-P
