Day 15/16 - Hot pot, some brainwashing and Chinese schnapps

Hey ho! Actually I have to be sorry for not writing soo long - which is a real sin and maybe I should go to church to wash me free from that sin.. . I don't know - I hope I will still be able to enter heaven now...
But, lets start from the beginning. Yesterday I had a real nice hot pot experience. Hot pot is a traditional Asian way of fondue. Here are some pictures:

At the end (almost) everything was eaten - it belongs to the Asian rites that one should ever leave something left to make sure the host doesn't loose his face (very important), but in this case it really was just too much ;-). The main things where: lamb, lamb, lamb, fish balls(delicious), cabbage, mushrooms, fern, sesame oil sauce... and beer. Nice experience!
After that I felt pretty full and hat to get one of these guys:

Not very helpful at the end but 7 Yuan (0,70 Euro) for 0,5 liter and 56 vol. % alcohol - not that bad ratio...
The next morning wasn't that bad either- what was much more unsettling was the lecture: "Chinese culture and its impact on management" Nice teacher with good English, but the content was kind of stereotype and sketchy. Chinese history starting in 1949, Taiwan as a "social community", Europe as a society trapped in Christian sin ideologies... , moral as something which is embedded in Chinese values (Confucianism) but not in Anglo American / European culture... "European need laws to maintain social order...", and the fact that 1/3 of our classmates are party members... All in all quite... interesting!
After that, we just went for dinner and a drink... and had some sips of the guy mentioned above...

I hope I'll be still the same when I come back ;-P SES!
