Day 24 - Friday - 2nd week of classes survived

Today there is no party because tomorrow morning at 7 o' clock starts the hiking trip on a mountain in the north west of Beijing. Some of our classmates invited us. Its supposed to be 1000m difference in altitude and a four hour hike in total. I am already equipped with bread and fruits, chewing coffee (taste like shit), skittles, water and a bottle of Chinese Schnapps. Hopefully I can post some nice pictures tomorrow.
The Chinese students here really have a different attitude to have fun... 7 o' clock in the morning on a Saturday... ! I know some of my readers are extremely jealous now - but I can tell you I will stand my man there!
The highlight of today was without a doubt the 39 Yuan all you can eat and drink buffet:

I know, doesn't look sooo good, but fact: doesn't has to look good for 39 Yuan all you can eat and drink (beer incl.) and fact: I wasn't so anxious to make it look nice. Its buffet!

What else:
  • Handed in the first paper - its gonna be sooo good!
  • Where put into another group with Chinese students :-)
  • Bought all the Skittles in the supermarket because they are cheaper there than in our "Convinience Store" here at the dormitory.
And finally here a little joke for you:
Yo mama is so fat she got more chins than a Chinese phone book! :-D

ha, actually u could set off at 15:00 or 16:00 & return at 21:00, which is another different exp.
Chinese students indeed like to start their "trip" deaaaadly early due to their habit. However, as I concerned, enjoying the leisure is much better than being tortured by exhaustion.

Versteh ich nicht! What the f*** is/are "chins"?

Facts to get that joke:
1. Chin = Kinn (German) = an very common Chinese name (alternative spelling for Qin, Jin, Chen and Chan)
,so it can be often found in Chinese phone books.
2. Fat people often have a double chin, or even more dependent on their fatness ;-)
3. Put it together... ;-)
